Mount Pleasant Animal Medical Centre (Springside)

Sembawang Road, near the old kampung edge; calm, suburban, the kind of clinic that knows the neighbourhood's dogs by name.

What this clinic is specifically known for is the Springside arm of the Mount Pleasant group; convenient for Springleaf, Sembawang, and the deep north. The team is part of the Mount Pleasant group; routine primary care with central emergency referral. At the consultation, ask what the findings mean, which options are available and what should prompt a follow-up.

On hours and scope: daytime clinic; emergencies routed to gelenggang. This is a routine practice. For middle-of-the-night emergencies (collapse, bloat, suspected poisoning, anything that needs a CT scanner before sunrise), the call is to one of the 24-hour A&E hospitals on the emergency list, not here. For everything else (vaccination planning, sterilisation, the lump you noticed at the weekend, health changes in an older dog), this is the kind of practice that earns long-term trust.

Who this clinic suits: owners in the Sembawang catchment who want a primary vet they can stay with for a decade. Ask whether an appointment is required, request an itemised estimate, and confirm any insurance paperwork or direct-billing arrangements before booking. The address is 23 Sembawang Road, Singapore 779077, and the booking line is +65 6452 5770.

The small thing nobody mentions: turn up five minutes early on the first visit, with the puppy in a harness if the harness is fitted yet. The first impression of a clinic is largely formed in the waiting room, not the consult room, and the calmer you are on the way in, the calmer the dog is on the table.
