The official programme includes pet booths with treats, vet consultations and talks, alongside children's sensory play, mini-sports and food. Organisers invite visitors to bring a picnic mat for the lawns and say tentage is planned for wet weather. Registration is required for food and drink coupons.
Pets are welcome in the clearly marked, supervised pet zones. Bring water, a bowl, a lead and waste bags. Give your dog space if the afternoon gets busy, and follow the organiser's instructions about where pets can go.
The new dog run
The organiser has confirmed the name Dog Run @Hooper Park and its opening date of 3 October. It's beside Hooper Road Park & Playground. We visited for the launch. The dog run is open 24/7 and welcomes large dogs. Bring drinking water and a bowl, as there is no water provided for dogs. See our Hooper dog-run listing for practical details.
