Cocker Spaniel

Someone who falls for soulful eye contact easily, because I've weaponised mine for generations. I want gentle walks, genuine affection, and someone who reads my expressions like a book. My ears alone should qualify as a personality trait.

My ears are long enough to double as a scarf and my eyes do most of my emotional communication for me. Flushing birds for hunters is in my blood, so there's real working instinct under the sweetness. Soulful and capable, somehow, at once.

My ears trap moisture and need regular cleaning or infections set in fast, this is not optional maintenance. I can gain weight easily too if portions aren't watched, the eyes make begging very effective. The sweetness is real, the ear care is also mandatory.

You clean my ears on schedule even when I give you the eyes about it. You watch my portions despite my best theatrical begging attempts. And you fall, completely, for soulful eye contact on a regular basis.

My eyes have reportedly gotten away with things no other breed could manage. I've never once had to apologise properly for anything. The eyes do the apologising for me.
