Colbar is the old-style eating house at 9A Whitchurch Road, with Hainanese-influenced Western food, local dishes and a setting tied to Wessex Estate’s history. Independent visit accounts describe dogs joining diners and the outdoor seating gives it a different character from an air-conditioned cafe. Check which tables currently accept dogs before setting off. An older account reported indoor access and bowls, but a 2019 experience is not a promise of today’s facilities. Bring your own water and keep your dog beside you without blocking the route between tables.
