A note from the dog
Free for you. Always.
Here's the deal, and it's a simple one. UrbanDogOwner is free for owners, and it's staying that way. No fees, no paywall, no locked features, on the web or in the app we're building. If you've got a dog in this city, the whole thing is yours to use.
So how do the bowls stay full around here? Fair question. We'd rather just tell you than have you wonder. There are four ways, and we keep every one of them out in the open.
-
Affiliate links, only where we mean it
When a guide points you at a harness, a cooling mat, or a tick treatment, some of those links earn us a small cut if you buy. We only ever link to a thing we would actually put on our own dog. The recommendation comes first, the link comes second.
-
Sponsored posts, always labelled
Sometimes a brand pays us to write about them. When that happens, the post wears a clear "Sponsored" tag at the top. You will always know when money changed hands, because we tell you on the page itself.
-
Featured event slots, paid by organisers
Event organisers can pay to put their dog meet, adoption drive, or pop-up in the "Worth attending this week" rail. That is a business buying placement, roughly S$50 to S$100 a week. It costs you nothing and it never changes which events show up in the normal listings.
How we keep it honest
Anything a brand paid for is labelled, every time, whether it's a sponsored post or an affiliate link. Our editorial picks stay independent of who's advertising: a vet, a park, or a product earns its place in a guide because it's good, not because someone wrote us a cheque. If we ever get that wrong, tell us and we'll fix it.
Get the app early
We're building the UDO app. Drop your email and we'll let you know when TestFlight and Play Internal Testing open. No spam, just the one heads-up when there's something to tap.
