The best dog-friendly places in the East Coast (2026)

A dog on a leash walking along East Coast Park, Singapore

The broad eastern shortlist includes East Coast Park, Katong and Changi Village. They are separate destinations, not necessarily a short walk apart. Pick the outdoor stop, meal or care appointment you actually need and plan transport around it.

NParks describes 180 hectares of parkland along more than 13km of coast. Choose a short section of the shared paths rather than assuming you need to walk the whole park. Dogs can use permitted park areas on a lead, with off-leash activity confined to the designated dog run at Area C1, Parkland Green. The Area C1 dog run is scheduled to close from 21 September to 6 November 2026. Nearby lawn and footpath works also affect access. NParks warns of jellyfish and areas affected by tides or bad weather; access to the beach is not a safe-swimming guarantee. Check the official map and notices for the area you intend to use. Bring water and waste bags, keep to open permitted routes and check notices before leaving home.

Bringing your dog: NParks names this park on its pet-friendly park list, read with its dog etiquette guidance. Dogs must remain controlled and leashed outside a designated dog run. Cat-specific entry conditions and access to individual attractions are not established by the reviewed sources. The Area C1 dog run is scheduled to close from 21 September to 6 November 2026. 2. A calm dog on the sand at Bedok Jetty Beach (East Coast Park Area F) in Bedok / East Coast, Singapore, with gentle waves and warm golden-hour light, a few paw-prints softly in the foreground.

Open now Monday: Open 24 hours

Bedok Jetty is an Area F landmark within East Coast Park. Plan a waterfront walk from the park map rather than treating the jetty as a guaranteed quiet or shaded retreat. Keep clear of fishing equipment and follow signs governing the jetty itself. We have removed unverified promises of a usable hose, a cooling breeze and a fixed 90-minute comfortable outing. Bring water and a bowl, check the weather and choose a route your dog can comfortably return from. This is a published-source review, not a personal inspection of today’s surfaces, crowds or equipment.

Bringing your dog: Dog access is subject to posted exclusions, closures and leash rules. Cat-specific admission has not been established. Source (checked 2026-09-12).

A little further afield

These places are outside this guide’s neighbourhoods. Plan them as a separate stop.

Choose the actual place and permitted area

East Coast Park’s Area C1 dog run is scheduled to close from 21 September to 6 November 2026 in the reviewed NParks notice. Nearby works can affect the approach. Check the latest official map and signs before leaving; do not turn park access into permission for dog swimming or entry to every facility.

What the current evidence changes

Little Island Brewing’s Changi policy publishes outdoor dog and cat permission with handling rules. The Coastal Settlement has independent outdoor evidence with rain shelter unresolved. Canopy Changi Village lists noon opening Tuesday to Sunday and Monday closure in the current review, so it should not be promised as an early breakfast stop.

Make the outing work for your dog

Furkids Home publishes dog and cat grooming conditions. Petopia’s current styling address is Geylang, while an older boarding page describes Seletar; confirm the location of the particular service. Hotel Indigo Katong’s reviewed Pet Getaway is for one dog up to 10kg with advance booking, not an unrestricted pet stay. Read the individual terms and plan around your own dog’s comfort.

Open the detailed records below for source links, checking dates and unresolved conditions. A past recommendation is not confirmation of today’s admission, facilities or availability. Bring water and allow a shorter visit if weather, crowds or your dog’s response call for it.

Editorial reconciliation, 17 September 2026: corrected older overview claims against the individually researched venue records. Original URL, publication date and venue associations retained.
